Secret Continue Sub Chapter
(Not Really) ABSTRACT
This writing is inspired by friends majoring in Public Relations
(PR) Mainstream in which they have evaluated of the existing management
performance of certain company, institute, or whatever people want to call it
and then they made a communication plan in order to improve what they have
evaluated.
In this case, Close Friend’s in Tourism Mainstream and Internship named Zulfikar GK composed a Final Project entitled “The Swot Analysis of Mandiri Tour and Travel” and His becomes the core source
which is very beneficial (for me) to take A God-Bless-Further-Action (make a
communication plan) as what the friends of PR did.
The summary of this writing is re-showing the Swot chart of Zulfikar’s, and then making communication plan which probably become soddin'
excellent to improve everything in that agency. O ya I call it…..

Proposed Plan

Management
Profile
a.
Making Company
Profile
This is not so funny that company profile is missing
in a company. Every company which has been very popular both in earth or hell
needs company profile. It is such an identity about the company. Usually the
company profile comprises the history of
the company, vision and mission.
b.
Making Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) of Reservation
The writer and his pal (as job trainee) found
difficult in handling reservation both hotel and airline—as it is the daily
activity in giving service to the customer. The procedure is god damn not easy
to remember so in order to avoid Your Angry Supervisor because of your bad
memory, it is crucial to make the standard procedure of the reservation.

The Company
Special’s Attire
This is another expression to show the identity of the
company. Of course this is not trivial issue, even this is essential. The
uniform is not always expensive, just simple but eye-catching, awrrr.
d.
Recruiting
new personnel
As no one here officially doing promotion, there
should be a figure to be in charge of the position. Not only marketing, the
management, at least, should hire person who is potential in promoting products
and always makes breakthrough as done by Public Relation Officer. Someone who
is in charge of tour will be more beneficial.

The Facilities Improvement
What to improve are the room and properties used to
support in giving service.
ü Utilizing the Vacant
Room, as the writer’s friend tells in his
report that the company has small room attached in Mandiri T&T office. It
should be used to keep files and other important properties, and then the old
room can be improved by facilitating the customer a waiting room.
ü Supplying Printing
Machine and Upgrading the Computer, Isn’t this is
such a good step? There’s a saying (from the writer), to have something
superior we have to concerns from small things.
2.
Products and Services Breakthrough and Promotional Activity
After improving the
interior house I think it is better to think what to do to make people know the
house. Other words, to attract many customers we have to do such a
breakthrough. In the following the writer tries to elaborate the plan in order
to promote Mandiri T&T.
a. Re-growing Mandiri Car Rental
Tourism activity
can’t be performed without transportation. It requires attention that the staff
must pay. It will enhance the variety of service that the agency can give to
the customer.
b. College Tour Package
The (marketing)
staffs keep creating the previous ones, but this time it is dedicated to
college student’s stuff. You know that sometimes every organization of college
will have a tour in their own agenda. This package facilitates college the
transportation and the venue with affordable price. Of course the venue is not
just the place; the staff should know the background of the college activity,
where most of them visit, and how every organization gets the venue.
c. Literature promotion tool:
leaflet, brochure, pamphlet and banner
The Marketing Staff
should make this tool to promote the product. Every teenager knows this too—that
it should be packed and designed as creative as possible. Leaflet or Brochure
is given every time of transaction. So it is given along with the ticket,
invoice, or other receipt of transaction. It is automatically effective
promotion. Banner should be placed in front of the Bookstore office and in
surrounding of Mandiri T&T. Pamphlet is placed in every strategic place
like in UMS or resident.
d. Promotion through Electronic
and Social Media
The staff can do
Personal Relation to several journalists to make promotion as well as positive
image for the agency. But as the best promotion comes from the college of UMS,
the staff can utilize the Campus Radio (of course if any) to promote the
products.
Don’t forget the
Social Networks! Mandiri T&T has FB account but it is not that noticeable.
In Fact, people’s communication media mostly used in recent times is social
network. FB or maybe Twitter can give solution to promote the agency as well as
the products. It is such a breakthrough! Trust mehh it works
e. Sponsorship
If plans above are
granted by the management and save the whole day (I mean makes boom profit) for
the agency, it will be time to promote Our Lovely Agency by becoming sponsor.
You know that colleges are very creative and active figure that always makes
improvement, let’s say they hold seminar or study tour that Old-crab will say
it costs so gad damn expensive. Mandiri T&T can take part by supporting
them in financial (becoming sponsor) or facilitating them accommodation as the college
tour package above and transportation.
